“I don't even see why I have to go.” You muttered quietly as you pulled a black dress out of the TARDIS's closet, glowering at the invitation to the Doctor's wedding that was sitting on your dresser. The Doctor didn't even mention his wedding to you, and the only reason you had even found out about it was because she, the TARDIS, had transported an invitation to your room.

You hated the wretched feeling twisting in your gut, you hated that he was going to marry her, you just hated it. You wanted to run away and cry, you wanted to punch something (or someone), and all around just wanted to disappear.

The TARDIS's soft hum became louder when your hand hovered over the blue dress that matched her colors, and you smiled sadly while patting her walls gently. “You think I could get out of it if I just run?” The TARDIS hummed softly in response, but you were already too far gone from her responses.

The TARDIS loved you, honestly she did. You were her favorite companion of all time, and she would be devastated to see you go. She loved you because you not only cared for a certain Time Lord, but also because you cared for her.

That's why she begged and pleaded for you to stay.

-X--

You sat at the back of the ceremony, tears already welling up in your eyes as you saw the Doctor facing his wife-to-be. He wore a few faint smile as he rubbed little circles on the back of her hands and she smiled just as happily. You had to say, he looked rather dashing in his suit and bow tie, and she looked like a model in her dress.

You needed comfort, but no one was there to give you any, and you felt extremely alone in the room of happy and rejoicing aliens. You faintly heard the words 'any objections speak now', but you couldn't do it anymore. Rising up, you took one last look at the Doctor, whose emerald green had moved as you stood up met yours, and hurried out of the room as tears that you so desperately tried to hold back finally started to fall. You faintly heard the Doctor's voice call your name, but you just ignored it, slapping a hand over your mouth to stop the choking noises rising from your throat.

When you reached the TARDIS, you sloppily stuck the key in and unlocked it, hurrying away into your private room. You shut the door quietly and slid down, finally letting your cries surface to the world. The TARDIS hum filled your ears quietly, and you buried you face in your hands, hoping this was all just a terrible dream, that you would wake up and the Doctor would still be yours.

That reality soon came crashing down when you heard hasty footsteps echo down the hallway coming closer to your room. You caught a breath and looked at the ceiling, silently begging the TARDIS would help you out of your situation. “(Name)!” The Doctor called softly, knocking on your door quietly. “Please come out...” He murmured softly jiggling the door handle, unbeknownst the TARDIS had deadlocked it. “Look, I know you're upset, but this was bound to happen someday.”

You clenched your jaw and shakily stood up, brushing your tears away before asking the TARDIS to unlock the door, which she reluctantly obliged. Opening it slowly, the Doctor's build came into view, and he smiled weakly at you. He opened his mouth to say something but you shushed him “I don't understand!” You spat softly, shoving him back as he tried to hug you. “I don't understand how you can just get married, and not even give me a warning. Do you have any idea how much it hurt me? To know that I wasn't even invited, until the TARDIS gave me an invitation?”

“I just... I didn't want you to get hurt.”

“Oh really?! You have no idea, you asshole! I got hurt because of that.” You snapped roughly, jamming a finger into the Doctor's chest with a growl. “And even worse, I love you!” You shouted at him with a few tears rolling down your face.

The Doctor looked at you more than speechless before moving to cup your face. You took a step back with an incredulous look, before sniffling. “I-I'm sorry. I didn't know.”

“Like hell you didn't.” You snorted before moving back into the room. “I want to go home.” You muttered, grabbing your book bag you decided to bring along.

“What?”

“I. Want. To. Go. Home.” You managed out with a weep.

“OK...”

With one last look over, the Doctor left your room, and you took one last look at the TARDIS before patting her walls softly. “I'm sorry, so sorry.” You whispered quietly. “I'm going to miss you, but I can't just stay here anymore, knowing he was always betrothed. Knowing I could never have him.”

The TARDIS hummed in sadness as you walked down the halls, still decked out in your dress from the wedding. When you saw the console room, you leaned your forehead on her cold walls with a final sigh. “Maybe I'll see you some other day.”

Stepping into the large room, the Doctor looked up at you with puffy eyes. “Could we just-”

“No.” You interrupted softly before starting towards the door. “I can't do it, I can't just stay here anymore, knowing you were always betrothed. Knowing I could never have you.” Soft tears trickled down your cheeks as you pushed the door to the TARDIS open, looking out into the city you've grown to miss.

A pair of warm hands rested on your hips as the Doctor's bony chin found it's way into your shoulder. “Please don't go... I can't bear to lose another companion.” You felt something wet roll down your shoulder and you breathed faintly. “I can't loose you, I love you.” He whispered carefully in your ear, moving his hands around to link his fingers around your stomach.

You breathed in quietly as a single, hurting kiss made it's way on to your shoulder, but not even that was enough. “I'm sorry.”

Those final two words rang in the Doctor's ear as he watched you walk away, your TARDIS colored dress disappearing into the mess of colors and bodies.

The dam behind his eyes finally broke, and he shut the doors to his ship.

He'd done it again... he'd lost someone close to him.
The Doctor's getting married, but there's one person who doesn't want it to happen, you. You cannot stand it, you feel alone, betrayed, upset, so what happens when you give up and run away from the Doctor? Back to Earth for your normal life? Will you stay forever, or will the Doctor come sweep you off your feet once again?
